I really love the idea and execution of this. However, I think that having the wound higher on the back would look a little more believable.

You know, believable.

For a picture about a guy ripping out his spine.

Because he doesn't want his halo.

it actually follows the line of the spine a little bit higher to the neck. its just masked by the spine and some effects....but its there. im actually pretty happy with the wound...which wasnt originally part of the image.

im not so sure that i intended it to look like he was ripping it out...more of that it had burst from him and he was reaching to then tear it off.

but there reason i dont include any artists comments is so that you guys who come to look at it can draw your own conclusions about whats happening....so kudos to you because i hadn't even looked at it like that...and i think that's very important to an artist...to be able to see their own art from a different angle than they had intended.

anyawys....at least there IS a wound in the final version hahahaha
